May Day observed with traditional enthusiasm

Scores of rallies were taken out under banners of various political parties, trade unions, peasants and workers from different parts of Hyderabad district to observe May Day with traditional enthusiasm, here on Sunday.
The speakers of these rallies paid glowing tributes to workers of Chicago, who rendered sacrifices against the atrocities of their employers but finally succeeded to get rights for them. It was their sacrifices that created awareness among the workers communities of the world who are now united and striving for their rights, they said.
Among others, the trade unions, workers organisations and political parties which brought out rallies to mark May Day included WAPDA Hydro Electric Central Labour Union, Home Based Women Workers Federation, PPP Minority Wing, Sindh Hari Proihat Committee, PPP (SB), Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party Workers Federation, Awami Workers Party, Pakistan Trade Union Defence Campaign, All Pakistan NADRA Employees Union, Workers Union Qasimabad, Peoples Labour Union, Kotri Shehri Action Committee, Daman and Railways Workers Union.
