President Mamnoon Hussain arrived in Multan by his special plane on Thursday. The president was received by Multan Division Commissioner and the district administration officials at Multan International airport. He was accompanied by Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana and Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Bosan. Later, the president left for Matti Tal, a suburban area of the city, by helicopter, to inaugurate a private medical college Bakhtar Amin Hospital.
The president also met a delegation of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) led by Fareed Mughis Sheikh, its President at the local circuit house and the delegation apprised him of their problems confronted by the investors, manufacturers exporters and other industrialists. The President listened to them patiently and said that day was no far-off when there would be prosperity, economic stability and happiness. Professor Dr Shabbir Nasir Chairman of the Bakhtawar Amin Trust Hospital said, "Keeping in view the deficiency of health care facilities available to the population of the Southern Punjab in general and the population of the Multan Division in particular, The Trust decided ultimately to establish Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital, Northern Bypass, Multan.
