On the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khawaja, Karachi Driving Licence Department (KDLD) would be made centralised office to facilitate new applicants applying for learner driving licences, said DIG Licence Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh on Sunday.
Talking to the PPI, DIG Mazhar said applicants would not face any difficulty under new digital system as they were making entire process of driving licence online and its payments would be made through banks, while the licence would be sent to Karachi'ites through courier.
DIG said that online driving system would bring transparency in the process and facilitate public. He said through this system illegal nexus of agents and corrupt officials at the licence branch would end.
