Muhammad Khalid Siddiq has been transferred and posted as Director General Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Karachi. According to PSQCA spokesman, Khalid Siddiq - a BPS-20 officer - was working as Joint Technological Advisor at the Ministry of Science and Technology. After arriving in Karachi, the new DG met with the PSQCA officers. He said that the vision of the authority was to help promote and improve quality products for domestic as well as international consumers by adopting standardisation and quality control systems in trade and industry.
"PSQCA has to play a proactive role not only in protecting consumers' rights but also facilitating the business of industrial sector to compete in the global market," he added.
