The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved five development schemes of infrastructure sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 21.628 billion. These schemes were approved in the meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included: 1. Establishment including civil works, procurement, installation and maintenance of 12 permanent & 36 mobile weigh stations under Axle Load Management Regime in Punjab at the cost of Rs. 2817.19 million,
2.Construction of Khadam-e-Punjab Rural Roads Program (KPRRP), Phase-III in Punjab Highways Department, North Zone at the cost of Rs. 1690.064 million.
3. Rehabilitation of Khadam-e-Punjab Rural Roads Program (KPRRP), Phase-III in Punjab Highways Department, North Zone at the cost of Rs. 8673.448 million,
4. Rehabilitation / Widening of 10'-12' Roads under "Khadam-e-Punjab Rural Roads Program (KPRRP), Phase-III at the cost of Rs. 7235.402 million and
5. Construction of 12' Roads under "Khadam-E-Punjab Rural Roads Program (KPRRP), Phase-III at the cost of Rs. 1212.138 million.
