Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Wednesday condemned two blasts in Peshawar. The Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to ensure special medical care of the injured. A police official told APP in Peshawar that the blasts occurred with a gap of half an hour where two improvised explosive devices (IED) went off one after the other, injuring 17 people of whom one cop succumbed to his injuries at Lady Reading Hospital. Officials said the first explosion targeted a police van while the second went off amidst the people gathered around the scene for rescue work.
