A three-day book fair of National Book Foundation (NBF) was inaugurated at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. Dean Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr Noor Muhammad inaugurated the event. Regional Director NBF Murad Ali, Treasurer UET Peshawar Naik Muhammad, Director Post Graduate Studies Dr Khanshahzada, faculty members and large number of students were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean Faculty of Engineering, UET Peshawar, Professor Dr Noor Muhammad appreciated the efforts of National Book Foundation in efforts to bring the youth back to habit of book reading. He said that book reading was and still is an essential ingredient of gaining knowledge for success. Director NBF Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Murad Ali thanked the UET administration for their support in helping to inaugurate the book fair. He said he was happy to see the healthy response from the students.
Later, Professor Dr Noor Muhammad visited the stalls of the book fair and took keen interest in the books displayed. A large number of books on different subjects including Engineering are displayed and are sold on discounted prices ranging from 10 to 50 percent.
