Pakistan and China enjoy exemplary relations. Our bilateral ties and cooperation have a wide scope and span over diverse fields. Our cooperation in the realm of the media and broadcasting is gaining momentum and frequent exchanges of media-persons have helped acquire firsthand knowledge of the people, land, places and better comprehension of the issues faced by our two countries.
The ancient Silk Route which served as a bridge of friendship between the two civilizations has consolidated this relationship and served as a catalyst in strengthening the bonds between the two people. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor largely covers the area on this ancient route and therefore also serves as a cultural corridor. One Belt One Road initiative also calls for an upturn in our media cooperation so as to complement people-to-people contacts and cultural exchanges, which are equally important to economic cooperation. The positive contribution of Chinese Media in highlighting the deep relations between the two countries is commendable.
The crosscurrents of issues dominating the news media, the rich culture scene, and growing economic activities, in Pakistan, presents an opportunity to capture in action, the life in Pakistan and major media and cultural and economic progression in the country.
