Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Senator Siraj-ul-Haq on Sunday said, our children demand a corruption free Pakistan as the corrupt rulers have added billions of rupees in debts, payable by every child of Pakistan.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq expressed these views while addressing a 'Children Walk against Corruption' rally near the Islamia College in which a large number of children along with their parents and family members participated.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, on the occasion announced to hold a 'Corruption Free Train March' from Peshawar to Karachi, 25 to 27 May.
He said the massive corruption of our ruling elite has devastated entire Pakistan and said that the JI has initiated a drive against corruption and every child of our nation is united shoulder-to-shoulder in this noble cause.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq pledged to continue this anti-corruption struggle until its elimination from society.
"The children need a bright, prosperous and peaceful Pakistan, free from poverty, inflation, joblessness and corruption," Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said.
He added that our future generations need a country, where youngsters are not compelled to torch their educational certificates and degrees and where parents are not compelled to sell their body organs to feed their children.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq was of the view that the corrupt ruling elite, is the only major impediment to the formation of a 'corruption free Pakistan'. He reiterated that back-to-back ruling regimes in Pakistan have been indulging and sheltering corrupt practices since long.
He further said that all the children of our country are under burden of loans borrowed from the international monitory institutions and embezzled by the ruling political class. The corrupt rulers have siphoned billions of rupees in off-shore companies for their children and have left millions of children of Pakistan to pay the foreign debts while facing unemployment and starvation.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq demanded a comprehensive and effective mechanism of accountability so that the embezzled tax payer money could be recovered.
He said that no leader of JI has any off-shore company and none of its member is involved in plundering nations wealth. He also highlighted the injustices being perpetrated against the farming community of Pakistan as well as employees of the state institutions like the Pakistan Steel Mills and others.
JI Karachi chief Engr, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the children of Pakistan have rejected the dynastic politics of corrupt rulers. He was of the view that the corrupt rulers would not be let flee.
