The Met Office on Saturday forecast rain, thunderstorm and gusty winds in upper regions of the country for the next 24 hours. The Met forecast said, rain coupled with thunderstorm and gusty winds are likely at places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Lahore Division and Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while the weather was to remain mainly hot and dry in the rest of the country during the next 24 hours.
"Seasonal low pressure areas lying over north Balochistan is still affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to affect during next 48 hours," it said. Dalbandin, Moenjodaro and Shaheed Benazirabad were the hottest places in the country with temperature of 45 degrees centigrade, followed by Nokkundi, Larkana, Sibbi and Dadu at 44 degrees centigrade. Also, Parachinar received maximum 25 mm of rainfall, Upper Dir 4 mm, Lower Dir and Kalam 1 mm each during the past 24 hours.
