PA Khyber Agency bans use of weapons

The political administration (PA) tehsil Landi Kotal, Khyber Agency, prohibited use of weapons in inter-tribal conflicts and said that the violators would be dealt according. In a public notice circulated on Saturday, warned dwellers of Landi Kotal to avoid use of arms in conflicts between rivals. The notice further read that those found guilty would be fined Rs 500,000 with imposition of three month imprisonment. The weapons of lawbreakers would be also confiscated, it cautioned.
Providing details Assistant Political Agent (APA) Landi Kotal Rahim Mehsud said on the direction of Political Agent (PA) Khyber Agency, the initiative has been adopted to safeguard life of a tribesman and to retain peaceful environment of the area.
