Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Shaikh has announced that the PTI would take out a big rally as part of ongoing "Corruption Mittao Mulk Bachao" (eliminate corruption, save the country) campaign in Hyderabad on June 2 from Hyderabad Toll Plaza to Haider Chowk.
He appealed to people belonging to all walks of life to participate in the rally against rampant corruptions while calling it as mother of all evils. He said this while speaking to journalists during a press conference at the local press club on Sunday.
PTI leaders Dr Mustansar Billa, Jai Kumar Dhirani, Amanullah Khan and others were also present.
He said that corruption was a curse which destroyed the entire system of the country and weakened the country. He said that it was a shame that almost entire bureaucracy of Sindh was on bail before arrest while rulers were busy in looting the country. He stressed the need for free, fair and transparent probe into Panama leaks papers as it is not money of Lahore but it is money of Sindh because Sindh pays 64-65-percent of taxes and has to suffer a big loss.
He said that PTI chief Imran Khan repeatedly said that start accountability from him if he was a corrupt man. He said that the combined terms of references (TORs) would be formed and they would play some role in this regard. He said that if TORs were not suitable and opposition parties did not support PTI against corruptions, then PTI chief Imran Khan alone could go against corruptions in the larger interest of people and the country.
He said that people were also hoping good future and changing Pakistan.
He said that he was fully aware of problems of Hyderabad including energy crisis, excessive bills of electricity, contaminated water, rising unemployment, runaway food inflation and others.
He said that the ongoing "Corruption Mittao Mulk Bachao" campaign was being supported by people as he visited 19 districts of Sindh from where he received a warm welcome. He said that he completed the first phase of the campaign and was entering the second phase. He said that on June 1, he with leaders and activists would meet lawyers, intellectuals, writers in Karachi by holding labour convention for their views regarding corruptions. He said that on June 2, he would take out a rally in Hyderabad, meet lawyers, scholars, journalists so that he could gain their direct views about elimination of corruptions in the country particularly in Sindh.
Speaking about upcoming the federal budget, he said that it would be an IMF-based budget instead of being people-friendly one. He said that it would not give any relief to people.
PTI leader Dr Mustansar Billa said that posts of 700 medical practitioners were announced by Sindh Public Service Commission for urban population after many years, but SPSC chairman was allegedly a corrupt man who wanted to get colossal bribes for every seat. He said that the chairman must be sacked or he must tender a resignation immediately for fair results.
