Master trainers of the Turkish International Cooperation Agency have trained 90 teachers from the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority in automotive, construction and agriculture machinery sector, it has emerged. The announcement came on Monday from Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh who was also present at a certificate distribution ceremony of the teachers at the Government College of Technology on the Railway Road in Lahore.
The Turkish International Cooperation Agency's Co-ordinator in Pakistan, Mustafa Giray Turk, also attended. "This 21-day training will enhance professional capability of teachers of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority for offering skills to the trainees. The training by TIKA master trainers will also play effective role in training the youth as per international standards," Chairperson Sheikh said. He also said the Turks had already trained 30 teachers in hospitality and tourism. Turk Master Trainer Ramazan Baskaya trained in civil draftsman at the Government College of Technology, Suleyman Yar in Mason at the Government College of Technology, Smet Kebapci in plumber at the Government Technical Training Institute in Mughalpura, Ömer Gokkus in auto electrician at the Government College of Technology, Vural Kaya in auto mechanic at the Government College of Technology and Ali Irfan Ozyurek in agriculture machinery mechanic trade at the Centre for Agricultural Machinery Industries in Mian Channu.
