Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) apprehended 10 electricity thieves upon the special directives of Chief Executive Officer Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan in different areas of IESCO Region. According to the details 04 culprits were caught red handed from Rawalpindi Circle, 01 from Attock Circle, 02 from Chakwal Circle and 03 from Jhelum Circle.
These culprits were found involved in power theft through direct line (Kunda System) and Meter Tempring. IESCO has lodged applications against power thieves under the new electricity (Amendment) Act. IESCO is committed to crack down power theft across IESCO region and requested its valued customers to inform power theft on IESCO's new Roshni 8398 sms service.
The new "ROSHNI SMS Service 8398' is serving commendably in entire IESCO region including Islamabad circle, Rawalpindi circle, Jehlam circle, chakwal circle and Attock circle and this service is getting massive response from its users. Users can receive information regarding tariff, temporary connection, late receiving of electricity bills, over billing, low voltage complaint and can also inform IESCO about theft of electricity by sending SMS to Roshni 8398.-PR
