The vice-chancellor of the Beaconhouse National University and son of the late Abdul Hafeez Kardar, Shahid H. Kardar met the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman at the Qadhafi Stadium, Lahore to talk about various issues of mutual interest. Having recently shared the board's plans to revive university cricket at a meeting of vice-chancellors of various universities, Chairman Shahayar Khan and Vice-Chancellor Shahid Hafeez Kardar discussed in details.
"While the revival of a club cricket is necessary, the PCB is also keen to develop linkages with educational institutions across the country in order to further strengthen the game at the grassroots level," the board boss said. He also shared his plans for the recently announced nation-wide school cricket tournament with his guest. The tournament, to be known as the Hafeez Kardar Cup, will be arranged by the board and administered by all 16 regions.
