Chairman PAAPAM Mumshad Ali was reportedly deprived of his cell phone and wrist watch at gun point in broad-day light near NIPA Chowrangi, Karachi, on Monday. Last month Arshad Amin Awan, Member Managing Committee PAAPAM, was reportedly deprived of his cell phone in Karachi. Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers is worried about law and order situation in Karachi.
A spokesman for PAAPAM told Business Recorder that this is very alarming situation that despite a hectic struggle by law enforcing agencies there is no letup in culmination of street crimes. PAAPAM has demanded of the Government of Sindh to implement the National Action Plan in true letter and spirit for protection of business Community. It warned that if business leaders are not safe then Karachi being the economic hub of the country would lose its attraction due to such like incidents.
