The College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) is making utmost efforts to meet the requirements of specialist doctors in the country, CPSP President Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry said this while speaking at the annual general body meeting of CPSP fellows which was attended by fellows and councillors of the college from all provinces including armed forces.
Professor Khalid Ashrafi, Treasurer CPSP presented the budget for the year 2016-17 which was unanimously approved by the house. He stated that the CPSP completed the projects of Quetta, Hyderabad, Larkana, Bahawalpur and Abbotabad without increasing examination and workshop fee of the students. He said the financial system of CPSP has been strengthened and the international centres have been motivated with the increase of educational activities.
The general body appreciated the council for completing the projects without increasing the examination/workshops fee and proposed further extension of regional centres. It also expressed satisfaction on declaring CPSP international programme by WHO, as a role model in the world. Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry, President CPSP proposed 50 million for the extension project of Multan regional centre and told that state-of-the-art facilities will be provided in every centre of South Punjab.
