K-Electric announced that the power utility has installed a new and upgraded 400KV dedicated pole-mounted transformer (PMT) at the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT) Eye hospital located in Korangi. Along with this new PMT, enhanced cables and an upgraded network are also being installed at LRBT, the largest NGO of Pakistan fighting blindness. The additional provision by KE will ensure a smoother and more reliable supply of electricity to the Hospital and also increase the load capacity provided to LRBT. Tayyab Tareen, CEO, K-Electric said, "We are proud to partner with institutions that in this day and age share our commitment of giving back to our community and society."
