The meeting of District Co-ordination Committee was held here at DCO office Committee Room with Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha in the chair. During the meeting RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, DCO Salman Ghani and CPO Afzal Kausar gave the briefing about the pace of development, law and order situation and new initiatives taken by police department.
Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Khalil Tahir Sindhu, other parliamentarians Haji Akram Ansari, Mian Muhammad Farooq, Begum Khalida Mansur, Sh Ejaz Ahmad, Madiha Rana, Begum Najma Afzal, Fatima Fareeha, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Haji Khalid Saeed, Chaudhry Faqir Hussain Dogar, Chaudhry Afzal Sahi, Rao Kashif Rahim, Azad Ali Tabassum, Mian Ajmal Asif, Arif Mehmud Gill, Jafar Ali Hocha, Vice Chairman WASA Mian Irfan Mannan and others participated in the meeting.
The Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha welcomed the parliamentarians in the meeting and said that public welfare projects and welfare policies of the government would be implemented with organised and solid strategy with the consultation of public representatives.
Giving details of the price mechanism, he said that various steps had been taken to control the prices of essential commodities during the holy month of Ramazan and Price Control Magistrates had been mobilised to check the prices in the general markets besides successful holding of Ramazan Bazars. He informed that the boards had been installed pertaining to the official fixed prices at critical markets for the information of general public. He asked the parliamentarians to propose public welfare schemes for the regional and urban development.
RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana gave the details of establishment of front desk in the police stations and informed that required staff would be recruited by the Punjab govt according to the proportionate of the population. DCO Salman Ghani informed the development pace of Jhal Chowk Underpass, Canal Express Way, Children Hospital, General Hospital Haseeb Shaheed Colony, Faisalabad Link Road Programme, Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Road Programme, Provincial and District Annual Development Programmes. He also informed that 19 Ramazan Bazaars are working in the district and regular monitoring is being carried out for maintaining the entire arrangements.
CPO Afzal Kausar informed about the FIR Information System, criminal record office and the data of police official system. The parliamentarians warmly welcomed the new Commissioner of Faisalabad Division Momin Agha, RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana and assured their full cooperation for the best service delivery of the govt offices. They expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements of the Ramazan Bazaars, however, they stressed upon the maintaining quality of essential commodities in Ramazan Bazaars.
