The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani awarded Peshawar police on targeting a terrorist in police encounter at a local hotel Peshawar in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar on Friday. According to details on 10th May the management of a hotel at Dabgari Bazaar called the police after suspicious activities in a room rented to a man hailing from North Wazirstan. When the police reached the hotel and asked the man to surrender but he opened fire on the policemen.
The Cops tried to arrest the man but he kept continue fire on the police. The Cops successfully returned the fire and killed him on the spot. Addressing on the occasion the IGP appreciated the target accuracy and professional skill of the policemen by hitting the terrorist in densely populated area without human and property loss.
The IGP directed the awardees to make co-ordinated efforts against outlaws by obtaining the confidence of the general public and hotly pursue the terrorists everywhere and hoped they will repeat the same performance in future too. The IGP awarded SDPO Suburb Shaukat Ali Khan, SDPO Gulbahar Rokhan Zeb, ASI Shahzad Khan and Constables Jan Haider, Iftikhar and Nadeem Ahmad.
