"The National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) accredited further 33 Institutes of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) with 239 programmes in view of their excellent standard and outstanding performance. The purpose of the accreditation was to ensure the quality of the institution and programmes being taught there. Accreditation of these TEVTA institutes would be beneficial for institution, students, parents and employers."
This was stated by Chairperson TEVTA, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing the participants of a meeting, held at TEVTA Secretariat. Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and other TEVTA officers were present on the occasion. Irfan said that TEVTA has further nominated 30 institutes for accreditation with NAVTTC.
The institutional accreditation indicates that the accredited institutions are achieving further specified objectives in a satisfactory manner. These institutes can take stock of its strengths and carry on a process of continuous quality improvement through self-evaluation process. The credits earned from accredited institution would be easily transferable/acceptable in other similar institutions.
TEVTA chairperson further said that the accreditation process will assist the students to identify quality certified institutions, attaining desired knowledge and skills, making pass-out graduates globally acceptable and enhance employability across borders. The parents should feel that they have invested real value of money. They can participate in the career planning and counselling of their children with a view to make improvement in the academic achievement of their children. The accreditation of institutes will also make the employer satisfied and facilitate him in making a choice in hiring the employees.
