National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDCL) has started internship programme for 300 students of 30 universities of the country in line with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). A two-day orientation ceremony was held on Friday at WAPDA House. General Manager GSC Wajahat Saeed Rana was the chief guest on the occasion.
He extended a cheerful welcome to the future engineers and said that young engineers are hope for building a greater Pakistan since country is facing number of issues on national front. He said that NTDCL has best fleet of experienced engineers and interns can learn and flourish their technical skills, this training programme will play a vital role to enrich the academic career and provide them off-hand opportunities, where knowledge from theoretical work is applied in real terms.
He further said that the students will get ample opportunities of learning during the study of mega projects of national importance, which are being carried out by NTDCL. While giving the introductory talk, Director General Human Resource and Administration NTDCL, Farooq said that 300 students have been selected on merit out of 500 applicants for a six-week paid training programme. He said that this is a golden opportunity for students to learn about management and administration as well as despatch and transmission network in the country. The experienced manpower of versatile formations of NTDCL like Design, System Protection, Power Planning, Grid System Construction and Grid System Operations will deliver their professional prowess towards the young internees, which will ultimately help in contributing the national development.
