Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front (PIAF) has said the politics of protests and sits-in on the Shahra-e-Quaid-e-Azam is badly damaging the business activities and causing huge loss to the traders and the government as well. The PIAF office bearers; chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, senior vice chairman Tanvir Ahmed Sufi and vice chairman Khawaja Shahzeb Akram expressed their serious concern over the Pakistan Awami Tehrik's decision to hold protest rally on the Shahra-e-Quaid-e-Azam.
They said that such actions on the part of political parties are against the national economy. They said the traders' community generates revenue for the national exchequer, therefore, the business and trade activities should remain continue without any hurdle. They appealed to the district administration to strictly implement the ban imposed on every kind of protest on The Mall. They also stressed the need for resolution of problems through dialogue rather holding protest rallies.
