A high level workshop-cum-meeting on KPT Act has taken place here in KPT Head Office Building, said a statement the port operator issued on Wednesday. Chaired by Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Hasil Khan Bizenjo, the meeting was attended by Federal Secretary Ports and Shipping Khalid Pervaiz, Director General Asad Rafi Chaandna, Chairman KPT Vice Admiral Shafqat Jawed (Retd) and others.
During the meeting the minister was briefed about the port infrastructure and operations. Various ongoing mega development projects like Pakistan Deep Water Container Port, reconstruction of berths, Cable Stay Bridge and cargo village came under discussion during the meeting. Senator Bizenjo showed keen interest in the ongoing port development projects and conveyed full support of his ministry towards realisation of all mega development projects.-PR
