On the proposal of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak formed a business advisory committee to address the issues of business community in the province in effective co-ordination with the provincial government.
The CM Secretariat has notified the Committee and FCCI Vice President and Regional Chairman Riaz Khattak has been named its Chairman.
Similarly, all chambers of commerce in the KP province namely DI Khan Chamber, Kohat Chamber, Haripur Chamber, Tirbal Area Chamber, Chitral Chamber; Mardan Chamber, etc, through its nominees will be members of the committee the government side to be represented by Secretary Commerce, Chairman KPEZMEC, Secretary Industries, Secretary Mines and Minerals while former official of the FPCCI Adnan Jalil has been named the Secretary of the committee.
Riaz Khattak congratulated the business community that first time provincial government understood the problems which they faced for many years and now they actually recognised business community as the important stake holder which vindicated the FPCCI stance. He also congratulated the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Chief Minister for the committee.
He further said they would call the first meeting to take up the concrete agenda on the table for the transformation of trade and industrial activities in the province. He also sought the proposal from Sarhad Chamber of Commerce (KPCCI) for the issues of Peshawar district business community.
