BAHAWALPUR: Personnel of Bahawalpur police including officials donated blood at a camp set up by Regional Blood Centre at Central Jail Bahawalpur.
Official sources said that Regional Blood Centre requested the district police and the management of Central Prison Bahawalpur for blood donation. “Accepting the request of the organization, the higher authorities allowed it to set up its blood donation camp at Central Jail,” they said.
Twenty-two police personnel donated their blood at the camp. Deputy Superintendant Central Jail, Chauhdary Sohail was among the blood donars.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Muneeb said that a large number of patients needed blood and added that blood donation camps were held by the organization in this regard to collect blood which later was provided to the needy patients free of cost.
