Recent statements on KBD: PPPP submits adjournment motion against Wapda chief

Pakistan Peoples' Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) has submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly Secretariat against the recent statements/articles of Chairman Wapda on Kala Bagh Dam. PPPP MNAs Shazia Atta Mari, Dr Nafisa Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar, Ejaz Hussain Jakhrani & Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah submitted the adjournment motion in the National Assembly Secretariat on Saturday.
The adjournment motion was submitted under rule 110 of Rules and Procedures and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007. According to adjournment motion, "we the undersigned would like to move an adjournment motion regarding the recent statements/articles of Chairman Wapda on Kala Bagh Dam in the House for discussion. "In this regard, three Provincial Assemblies have already passed Resolutions against the construction of Kala Bagh Dam. Publication of such statements/articles by Chairman Wapda will open a Pandora's Box. Chairman Wapda's this attempt is not only beyond his mandate but it is also leaving an adverse impact and challenging the unity of Federation. This is a serious issue with grave consequences and requires immediate discussion on the floor of the House."
