Ministry of Water and Power has announced on Monday to provide uninterrupted power supply during three days of Eid-ul-Fitr. According to officials, due to closure of industries, additional power will be available to meet the demand of domestic consumers. Power distribution companies have also been directed to make special arrangements for smooth operation and complaint redressal during Eid holidays.
On the other hand, the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will remain open across Sindh from Tuesday till Sunday.
CNG stations won't be closed on Wednesday and Friday, the authorities announced.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman's supervision on Tuesday will hold a meeting in Lahore to sight Shawwal moon.
Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee would also meet in Islamabad for the same purpose.
Sources told that the Middle East states including Saudi Arabia will conduct a session to sight the moon today whereas the experts said that possibilities of moon sighting in Pakistan is less today but high on Tuesday.
Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, will likely fall on July 6 (Wednesday).
