Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies in a joint operation arrested a terrorist of a banned outfit and recovered a hand grenade and four kilograms of explosive material from his possession in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to SSP CTD Junaid Sheikh, Yasin alias Ungli Katta and his accomplices had planned to carry out attacks in Karachi on Eid-ul-Fitr. He further informed that the arrested terrorist was also involved in target killings of security forces personnel.
On the other hand, police carried out a targeted operation in Pakhtunabad area of Manghopir and arrested 15 suspects during house-to-house search.
