Armed men gunned down two people including father and son and injured a girl over love marriage dispute here on Saturday. The murderers escape the scene after committing the crime. Police said that a man displeased over love marriage of his sister who had tied knot with a man a few days earlier, along with co-accused barged into her house and opened indiscriminate fire in Kotli Arora area of Gujranwala.
As a result of firing, a man Sarfraz and his father died on the spot while the girl who had entered in love marriage sustained critical wounds. The bodies and injured girl were shifted District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The bodies were handed over to heirs after post-mortem. The police after registering a case against the murderers at respective police station started raids for their arrest.
