TCKP-run rest houses' profit up 40 percent

Profit of the rest houses managed by Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakthunkhwa (TCKP) at Galiyat, Abbottabad registered 40 percent increase during last month. Tourists visiting the tourists attractive areas instead of private hotels are prefer to stay in the TCKP-run rest houses as they are providing better facilities. The rest houses during the period from May 23 to June 23 had earned Rs 2.969 million.
The provincial government had handed over the rest houses of different departments at Galiyat to TCKP. These rest houses have been opened for tourists and general public following its renovation and resultantly due to better accommodation and other facilities the corporation is earning handsome revenue on monthly basis from them.
