Prominent artist, social crusader and peace activist Jimmy Engineer has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over demise of great humanitarian and iconic social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi who breathed his last in Karachi on Friday.
In his condolence message issued here Saturday, Jimmy Engineer said that in the death of internationally recognized dedicated and committed humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi, Pakistani society in general and destitute and none to care about people in particular have suffered an irreparable loss and have lost a great friend of suffering, ailing and poor people.
He said that he personally was a great admirer of Edhi Sahib and has learnt a lot from him. Jimmy said selfless services rendered by Abdul Sattar Edhi for about six decades will be remembered for many centuries to come and vacuum created by his demise will not be easy to fill. He said Maulana Edhi had set golden traditions of selfless humanitarian services for others to emulate and help their fellow brethren and sisters without any discrimination, prejudice and bias.
