This is apropos a Business Recorder news item "China celebrates CP's 95th birthday, Xi warns on graft, security" carried by the newspaper on July 2.
According to it, Chinese President Xi Jinping has warned that the biggest threat to the ruling Communist Party is corruption, as he used the party's 95th birthday to also warn against any threats to China's security and Taiwan independence.
In a wide-ranging speech in Beijing's Great Hall of the People, Xi said that history had chosen the Communist Party to lead China, but that if they did not manage the party properly and listen to the people, then history would discard them.
Unlike any other political party in the world the Communist Party of China had literally delivered miracles insofar as any country's economic development in such a short span of time is concerned. It has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty. Since the 1980s, China is world's manufacturing engine. The hybrid capitalism-radical socialism Chinese model has effectively exacted the revenge of humiliation of the then Soviet Union that disintegrated because of a variety of factors, including its flawed economic model.
