Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh has said the government as well as business community should join their hands to continue the mission of renowned social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi, terming his death as a national loss.
He said the entire nation is in a state of shock and gloom on the death of Abdul Sattar Edhi. He gave these remarks while presiding the PIAF Parliamentary committee meeting. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that the legendary philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi devoted his life to help the poor and the needy. We have lost our most beloved angel of mercy who was a ray of hope for the poor as he was running world's largest ambulance service, as well as nursing homes, orphanages, clinics and women's shelters, along with rehabilitation centres and soup kitchens across the country.
Fateha was also offered for departed soul of Edhi. Former LCCI & PIAF presidents including Muhammad Ali Mian, Sohail Lashari, Sheikh Muhammad Arshad and vice chairman PIAF Tanveer Ahmed Sufi were also present in the meeting among others.
