Two dead, eight injured in Karachi building collapse

At least two people including a woman were killed and eight others injured in a building collapse near Shaheen Complex on II Chundrigar Road in Karachi. Many people were feared to be trapped under rubble of the building before rescue officials arrived.
Officials informed while talking to a private news channels the building was very old and decrepit while Sindh Building Control Authority had also declared it dangerous however people had still been residing in for several years.
Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Laiq Ahmed said all the people trapped under the rubble had safely been rescued. "It was a 100 years old building. The incident took place during construction work," he said.
