Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that FATA has shown tremendous improvement in anti-polio efforts and appreciated the role EOC FATA for achieving remarkable success which has not been possible without the diligent efforts put into by agency level staff and front line workers. He said this in a meeting with Dr Waqar Ajmal, Sr. Program Officer Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) at Governor's House, here on Tuesday.
Besides, Additional Chief Secretary FATA Muhammad Aslam Kamboh, Focal Person Emergency Operation Center FATA (EOC), Dr Nadeem Jan, Additional Secretary to Governor, Attaullah Shah and others were also present on the occasion. Appreciating the role of international community especially the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for their effective endeavours to eradicate the virus of crippling disease from the country, the Governor also thanked Dr Waqar Ajmal and his organization for their contribution to the cause of polio eradication in Pakistan.
