KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday granted the “memo” commission two more months to complete its investigation in the case.
During the hearing Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq said he had no objection over granting time to the commission.
A nine-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted the proceedings in the case and heard different applications by the judicial commission, Mansoor Ijaz and Husain Haqqani.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that only initial statements had been recorded by the commission and reliability and aim of the memo has to be sought.
