The President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gohar Ullah has expressed his grave concern over deteriorating sewerage, drainage and shabby roads in SITE Hyderabad and demanded the Managing Director Sindh Industrial Trading Estate to provide all required facilities in the areas without any delay.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that due to none de-silting of sewerage drain of WASA, the filthy water is submerging the industrial units of SITE Hyderabad and posing great threat of destruction of expensive machinery of the units worth billions of rupees.
In the name of de-silting of sewerage drain, he said that WASA has destructed the greenbelts of the SITE but the drain is remained ineffective. There is the need of effective measures with imposition of rain emergency in the area, so that machinery of these industrial units could be saved from expected heavy rains, he emphasised. Due to shabby roads, he said that the industrialists are experiencing great inconvenience in transporting the raw and manufactured products while the workers community is also in trouble to reach their destinations.
The President HCCI said that industrialists of Hyderabad are paying handsome amount in respect of heavy taxes therefore they have right to get all required facilities in the SITE Hyderabad. He called upon the provincial minister for industries to visit SITE Hyderabad and personally review the issues being faced by the industrialists and initiate immediate steps to save the area from major destruction.
