Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) Central Secretary General, Raza Haroon has slammed the killings of people during ongoing unrest in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK), and asked the government of Pakistan, to adopt 'pro-active' approach towards resolution of 'core issue' of Kashmir, rather following the reactive strategy.
"We should need to take pragmatic measures and serious role, to stop bloodshed of innocent people, with the hands of Indian troops in occupied Kashmir, Raza Haroon said, while speaking at a news conference at press club here on Wednesday. He expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir, adding that his party has fully supported the Kashmiris in their movement for right to 'self-determination' and fulfilment of their all genuine demands.
The PSP leader criticised the government of Pakistan, and foreign mission, especially the Kashmir committee for their non-serious attitude towards the resolution of the core issue of Kashmir. He termed the observing of only Black day to support of cause of Kashmir is just 'eyewash', and urged serious efforts to resolve the issue. Commenting on situation of Karachi, Raza Haroon said the port-city was not invaded by troops, but money had been spent to besiege the people's mandate by a political party in Karachi. He vowed that his party led by Chairman Mustafa Kamal, would get rid the people of the entire country, particularly financial-hub Karachi of Indian spying agency RAW agents. He said the situation could not be stabilised until the dismantling of network of RAW from the country.
Flanked by the PSP Vice Chairman, Waseem Aftab, Member National Council, Asif Memon, and others, Raza Haroon said his party manifesto to end 'status-quo' politics, by giving more empowerment, dignity, respect and empowerment to ordinary people of the country. He further said that the change would only come by giving due respect to others.
The PSP leader said the county had been divided on basis of ethnicity, linguistic, nationality, and regional by various political parties. He said successive governments in the country, had completely failed to deliver the masses on all fronts. He said that no leader talked about Pakistan.
He went on saying that the presidential form of government is more suited to the country than the parliamentary form, saying that his party has fully supported such system, in which issues of poor masses would be addressed on priority basis. He also called for stronger, empowered and elected local bodies system in the country. He said that masses issues can only be resolved by giving local government representatives with full the financial, political, and administration autonomy.
When asked about the recent arrest of PSP Central President Anis Qaim Khawani in Dr Asim Hussain case, he replied that the party leader had faced the courts after returning to the country, adding that no pleading and recording of statement was made into the case. He said that case didn't relate with the Pakistan Sarzameen Party, and termed the allegations against his leader, Anis Qaim Khawani, was completely based on fiction.
Raza Haroon has also turned his guns towards his former leader, and MQM chief Altaf Hussain and asked him to stop creating problems for the people in Karachi by his provocative speeches through social media, adding that the provoking statements on social media, are ultimately creating problems for Karachiites.
Later, he announced the party eight members organising committee in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which comprises political leaders from various political parties, including Imtiaz Tanoli, Dr Saddiq, Bashr Afridi, Ihsanullah, Sardar Ali Khan, Nasir Iqbal Khattak and two others.
