Several rallies were organised in Southern Punjab and attended by thousands of people to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Major rallies were taken out in Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyarkhan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Vehari, Sadiqbad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Bhakkar, Rajanpur, Kotadu and Lodhran.
Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz, Jamaat-ud-dawah and Jamiat Ahle-hadith organised three rallies in Multan. Special arrangements were made to offer prayers (after Zohr prayer) for the Shuhada of Kashmir.
The speakers highlighted the Indian atrocities in IOK in the rallies. They appealed to human rights organisations to take notice of the human rights violations in IOK. Participants shouted slogans against India and burnt the Indian flags. Government and Semi Government employees wore black armbands during duty hours and hoisted black flags atop of their offices.
