A meeting to review pre-Hajj arrangements was held at Hajj Directorate Hayatabad Peshawar on Thursday. Director Hajj Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shakeel Ahmad Sethi presided over the meeting. The Chief Security Officer, Airport Security Force, Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA), Peshawar Shad Muhammad Khattak was also present on the occasion.
While addressing the meeting, Director Hajj KP Shakeel Ahmad Sethi said that 25,319 pilgrims from KP and Fata would perform Hajj this year. Out of which 13,917 will perform Hajj under government scheme while 11,402 under private scheme. He further said Hajj flights operation will start from August 04, which will be concluded on September 03. Regarding facilitation to pilgrims, Director Hajj said that all banks will open their booth at Hajji Camp Peshawar to facilitate pilgrims. Besides PESCO, Sui Gas, WASA will provide round the clock services at Hajji Camp Peshawar. Moreover banners would be installed from Hajji Camp to Bacha Khan Airport for guidance of pilgrims. Police escort will accompany the buses carrying pilgrims from Hajji Camp to Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar, he added.
