The business leaders of Southern Punjab vowed to follow the suit of world renowned social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi and said country has lost an angel of mercy who was a ray of hope for the poor and destitute across Pakistan.
They eulogised the efforts of Chief Justice of Lahore High Court for fundraising for Edhi Centre and appreciated the former Sindh Chief Minister Mumtaz Ali Bhutto for donating his bungalow to Edhi trust. President of Multan Chamber of Commerce (MCCI) Fareed Mughis Sheikh, Senior Vice President Atta Shafi Tanvir and Vice President Muhammad Tariq Khan said, "Abdul Sattar Edhi passed away but his legacy of serving humanity will never die. Edhi changed lives and made history. Let's remember his legacy and honour him by continuing his mission. "They lauded the services of renowned social worker and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi." There are a few men who have done as much good, and made as much a difference to the lives and livelihoods of the Pakistani people as Abdul Sattar Edhi. They said that business community was sad on the death of a great humanitarian and "His efforts will always be remembered," Vice Chairman of FPCCI & Chairman of All Pakistan Bedsheets & Upholstry Manufacturers Association (APBUMA) Syed Muhammad Aasim Shah has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow on the death of a great philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi who was a beacon of light for others.Former Chairmen of Pakistan Tanners Association Khawaja Muhammad Abdullah, Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf, Chairman of All Pakistan Oil Mills Association(APOMA) Khawaja Mhammad Fazil expressed deep grief on the sad demise of renowned social worker and philanthropist, Maulana Abdul Sattar Edhi.
