Zheng Xiaosong, a deputy minister of international department of China, hosted a dinner in the honour of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Beijing on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that role of the Communist Party of China in the development of China was of historic importance. "Leaders of Communist Party of China have proved from their act and character that if work is carried out with commitment, enthusiasm and continuity, then, no hurdle can stop development process," he said adding: "Credit of the popularity gained by China in the world community goes to the leadership of Communist Party of China."
Shahbaz Sharif said that the secret of development of China lied in continuity of its policies. He said that China achieved unprecedented success due to its determined leadership during previous decades. He said that Chinese leadership expressed full confidence in the present leadership of Pakistan headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. In this regard, he said, the great gift of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a full confidence of Chinese leadership in the present leadership of Pakistan and an open proof of expression of love with people of Pakistan which cannot be forgotten by Pakistani nation.
"Political parties of Pakistan can learn a lot from Communist Party of China, as under its talented leadership, China has achieved the goals of unprecedented progress speedily," he said adding that relations were being promoted between Pakistan Muslim League-N and Communist Party of China and due to increasing relations between the two parties; people of Pakistan and China were coming closer to each other.
The Chief Minister said that these relations were expanding due to exchange of delegations at party level. He said that China was very sincere and trusted friend of Pakistan and people and government of Pakistan were proud of their unflinching friendship with China. He said that the friendship between the two countries was connected in the bonds of mutual respect.
Leader of Communist Party of China Zheng Xiaosong welcomed Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and members of his entourage on arrival at Beijing.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that work was being carried out on a big project of transferring different industries including technology to Pakistan on priority basis in China.
He expressed satisfaction over best arrangements for the security of Chinese engineers and other persons in Pakistan and said that Pakistan was an important member of project of regional cooperation of China and had unprecedented importance in this regard.
"China attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan. The vision of public service of Shahbaz Sharif is liked in China. He played a commendable role in promotion of ties between China and Pakistan," he said. Other members of the Chief Minister's delegation were also present at dinner.
