Mouinuddin Tarique Khan, a senior staff member of Business Recorder, passed away on Tuesday. He was 54. He left behind wife and three sons to mourn his death. A large number of people, including journalists, attended his funeral prayer held after Asr at Nashtar Park Model Colony Malir Karachi. He was laid to rest in the Model Colony graveyard.
Fighting with heart disease for the last one month, Tarique Khan, Business Manager at BR, underwent an open heart surgery last week in a private hospital. However, he could not recover and breathed his last on Tuesday morning. Soyem will be held on Thursday July 28 at 4.00pm onward at his home C-68, Surti Society, Model Colony Malir, Near Checkpost-2. He joined BR in 1988 and served tirelessly this organisation for some 28 years.
Born in Karachi, in 1962, Tarique did his BSc in 1982 from Karachi University. He started his career from M/s R. K. Advertisement in 1981 and later joined Morning News as its Business Representative in 1983. After serving Morning News for three years, he joined Pakistan Gulf Economists as Business Executive in 1986. He joined Business Economist as Business Manager in 1987. Meanwhile, Business Recorder has offered its condolences to the family of Tarique Khan on his demise.
