The provincial government is paying special attention to the girls' education, particularly in the Southern Punjab and enhanced the monthly stipend from Rs 200 to Rs 1000 to encourage enrolment. The Punjab Minister for Education, Youth Affairs, Sports, Tourism and Archaeology, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan stated this while speaking at the first Regional Conference on Inclusion of Entrepreneurship at Schools in Southern Punjab organised by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Office Lahore here Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the FPCCI regional chief Mian Rehman Aziz stressed the need for evolving effective educational policy, planning and its implementation. He also emphasised on establishment of research centres, IT centres equipped with labs and industry and academia linkage.
The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Ifthikhar Ali Malik termed the women as integral part of the society and said that they could produce desired results in each and every sector of business. The Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Multan Division's President Razia Shah also spoke on the occasion.
