Chairman All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General Pervez Musharraf (retd) while addressing to the concluding session of APML Global Conference said that the party is expanding across the country with deep roots in general public and APML will take part in 2018 general elections.
Present set-up has not only disillusioned the common man but it has alienated poor people from the system that is not serving the purpose of human welfare. APML chairman said that he would surely come to Pakistan and the false propaganda against him will die its own death. APML will participate the election 2018 under my captaincy, General Musharraf said. About former cricket captain, Imran Khan, General Musharraf said that if he will keep thinking about himself only he would isolate himself.
APML had organised a 2-day 'Global Conference' in Dubai where members of party's executive committee and its chapters all across the world participated to discuss major national & international socio-economic conditions in the perspective of Pakistan. APML chapters from different countries of the world briefed the participants about party structures and their functioning in respective countries.
Summing up the 2-day session discussion, the APML chairman at a press conference told the media that his party is more expanded, deep-rooted and vibrant than before. We are ready to give a tough fight to our political opponents, he also said. Present regime has deprived poor people from whatever they had and consequently it has garnered a great amount of hatred not only for itself but for the system also.
If this present system may have been working efficiently, no one could dare to intrude but it is failure of the system in providing relief to the people when there were demands of intrusion. Political governments due to their failure in running the system force army to intrude. General Musharraf negated the impression that Pakistan army is controlling government affairs by saying that this impression is misplaced.
Stressing a need for an effective foreign policy, General Musharraf said that there were wide spread global changes occurring all parts of the world. Pakistan needs to evolve an effect foreign policy that may be comprehensive and all encompassing to avoid alienation in the world, he added. General Musharraf lauded efforts of the APML secretary general Dr Muhammad Amjad in making the party more vibrant and popular among the masses. He expressed his deep satisfaction over the party's structural and administrative policies.
