Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that all federal and provincial departments should complete preparations and make arrangements for the protection of life and property of the people in view of possible flood due to rains. He said that no negligence or laxity will be tolerated in the arrangements in connection with safety of life and property of the masses.
He said that federal and provincial institutions should keep a close contact and remain vigilant in case of any emergent situation. Shahbaz Sharif said that administration of the concerned districts should monitor the arrangements being made to cope with potential flood. He said that flow of water should be continuously monitored in river and dams and federal institutions be contacted in this regard. The Chief Minister said that PDMA should provide abundant stock of relief goods in the districts where rains are expected.
