Chinese leaders on Wednesday sent messages of support to Pakistan two days after terrorist bombing massacred over 70 civilians in Quetta. "China is opposed to all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist attack", Chinese President, Xi Jinping, said in a message to his Pakistani counterpart, Mamnoon Hussain. "The Chinese side will continue to firmly support Pakistan's efforts to fight against terrorism, safeguard national stability and protect the people's lives and safety," he said. Chinese embassy released the message to the media.
"I was shocked to learn that the terrorist attack in Quetta of Balochistan province has caused heavy casualties. The Chinese people share the deep sympathy with the Pakistani people on such sufferings," the Chinese president said in his message. He said extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families on behalf of the Chinese Government and people as well as in his own name.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in his message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said China is firmly opposed to all forms of terrorism and will as always, support the unremitting efforts of the Pakistani Government and people to safeguard national security and stability and fight against terrorism.
"China strongly condemns the Quetta attack. On behalf of the Chinese Government, I would like to extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families," he said. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in his message to Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said terrorism is the common enemy of the human society.
"The Chinese side is opposed to all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist attack." He said the Chinese side is ready to strengthen cooperation with the Pakistani side to fight terrorism and safeguard common security of our two countries, as well as provide assistance within its capacity to help Pakistan improve its capacity building on counter-terrorism.
