Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) and Punjab Police have launched a web portal that will be helpful in finding parents or guardians of the missing children. Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Dr Umar Saif said here Thursday that on instructions of the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a website and helpline has been formed to facilitate the citizens, police, agencies and relevant organisations to find missing children and their families.
He said "Necessary documents, pictures and other details of children that had gone missing and have now been found or recovered by Edhi, CPWB, Punjab Police and other concern departments are being uploaded on http://missing.punjab.gov.pk/children.
Access to the portal has been provided to all relevant departments so the website can be updated in time while parents and guardians would easily be able to search their children through the website."
