Continuing problems with a rain-sodden outfield again delayed the start of play on the scheduled third day of the fourth and final Test between the West Indies and India at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad on Saturday. Only 22 overs were bowled on the first day with the West Indies reaching 62 for two after choosing to bat first. No play was possible on the second day because of the saturated conditions and despite continuing improved weather over the past 36 hours, the prospects of any play on the third day remain grim. India lead the series 2-0, but must win the fourth Test if they are to avoid relinquishing their world number one status to arch rivals Pakistan.
